וְשֵׁ֣ם הָאִ֣ישׁ אֱ‍ֽלִימֶ֡לֶךְ וְשֵׁם֩ אִשְׁתּ֨וֹ נָעֳמִ֜י וְשֵׁ֥ם שְׁנֵֽי־בָנָ֣יו ׀ מַחְל֤וֹן וְכִלְיוֹן֙ אֶפְרָתִ֔ים מִבֵּ֥ית לֶ֖חֶם יְהוּדָ֑ה וַיָּבֹ֥אוּ שְׂדֵי־מוֹאָ֖ב וַיִּֽהְיוּ־שָֽׁם׃

און דער נאָמען פֿון דעם מאַן איז געװען אֶלימֶלֶך, און דער נאָמען פֿון זײַן װײַב נָעֳמי, און דער נאָמען פֿון זײַנע צװײ זין מַכלוֹן און כִּליוֹן – אֶפֿרָתער פֿון בית־לֶחֶם־יהודה. און זײ זײַנען געקומען אין פֿעלד פֿון מואָבֿ, און זײַנען דאָרטן געװען.

Ruth

And all the people in the gate and the elders said: [We are] witnesses. May the L-rd make the woman who is coming to your house as Rachel and as Leah, the two of whom built the house of Israel; and be prosperous in Efrata, and be renowned in Bethlehem.

Or, c’est de toi Bethléem-Efrata, si peu importante parmi les groupes de Juda, c’est de toi que je veux que sorte celui qui est destiné à dominer sur Israël et dont l’origine remonte aux temps lointains, aux jours antiques.
