לֹא־תִגַּ֨ע בּ֜וֹ יָ֗ד כִּֽי־סָק֤וֹל יִסָּקֵל֙ אוֹ־יָרֹ֣ה יִיָּרֶ֔ה אִם־בְּהֵמָ֥ה אִם־אִ֖ישׁ לֹ֣א יִחְיֶ֑ה בִּמְשֹׁךְ֙ הַיֹּבֵ֔ל הֵ֖מָּה יַעֲל֥וּ בָהָֽר׃
אַ האַנט זאָל זיך ניט אָנרירן אָן אים, נײַערט פֿאַרשטײנען זאָל ער פֿאַרשטײנט װערן, אָדער שיסן זאָל ער געשאָסן װערן; סײַ אַ בהמה, סײַ אַ מענטש, זאָל ער ניט בלײַבן לעבן. ערשט אַז דער האָרן גיט אַן אױסגעצױגענעם בלאָז, מעגן זײ אַרױפֿגײן אױפֿן באַרג.
Exodus
Moshe said, “It would not be proper to do so. For that which is abominable [sacred] to Egypt we intend to sacrifice to Adonoy, our God. Could we sacrifice the abomination of the Egyptians before their eyes and not have them stone us?
Deuteronomy
