וְכִֽי־יִשְׁאַ֥ל אִ֛ישׁ מֵעִ֥ם רֵעֵ֖הוּ וְנִשְׁבַּ֣ר אוֹ־מֵ֑ת בְּעָלָ֥יו אֵין־עִמּ֖וֹ שַׁלֵּ֥ם יְשַׁלֵּֽם׃
און אַז אַ מאַן װעט באָרגן אַ בהמה פֿון זײַן חבֿר, און זי װעט געשעדיקט װערן, אָדער אַװעקפֿאַלן – איז איר בעל־הבית ניט מיט איר, מוז ער צאָלן באַצאָלן.
Exodus
an oath to Adonoy shall be between them, that he [the watcher] did not lay his hand on his neighbor’s possession [for his personal use]. The owner must accept it [the oath], and [the watcher] need not make restitution.
