וַיֹּאמְר֣וּ אֲלֵהֶ֔ם יֵ֧רֶא יְהוָ֛ה עֲלֵיכֶ֖ם וְיִשְׁפֹּ֑ט אֲשֶׁ֧ר הִבְאַשְׁתֶּ֣ם אֶת־רֵיחֵ֗נוּ בְּעֵינֵ֤י פַרְעֹה֙ וּבְעֵינֵ֣י עֲבָדָ֔יו לָֽתֶת־חֶ֥רֶב בְּיָדָ֖ם לְהָרְגֵֽנוּ׃

און זײ האָבן צו זײ געזאָגט: זאָל גאָט אַראָפּקוקן אױף אײַך, און משפּטן, װאָס איר האָט פֿאַרמיאוסט אונדזער ריח אין די אױגן פֿון פַּרעהן, און אין די אױגן פֿון זײַנע קנעכט, צו געבן אַ שװערד אין זײער האַנט אונדז צו הרגען.

He [the wicked one] said, “Who made you a man, officer and judge over us? Do you intend to kill me as you killed the Egyptian?” Moshe was frightened, and he said, “So the matter is known.”
