כִּ֣י יְדַעְתִּ֗יו לְמַעַן֩ אֲשֶׁ֨ר יְצַוֶּ֜ה אֶת־בָּנָ֤יו וְאֶת־בֵּיתוֹ֙ אַחֲרָ֔יו וְשָֽׁמְרוּ֙ דֶּ֣רֶךְ יְהוָ֔ה לַעֲשׂ֥וֹת צְדָקָ֖ה וּמִשְׁפָּ֑ט לְמַ֗עַן הָבִ֤יא יְהוָה֙ עַל־אַבְרָהָ֔ם אֵ֥ת אֲשֶׁר־דִּבֶּ֖ר עָלָֽיו׃
װאָרום איך האָב אים דערקענט, כּדי ער זאָל באַפֿעלן זײַנע קינדער, און זײַן הױז נאָך אים, אַז זײ זאָלן היטן דעם װעג פֿון גאָט, צו טאָן רעכט און גערעכטיקײט, כּדי גאָט זאָל ברענגען אױף אבֿרהמען װאָס ער האָט גערעדט װעגן אים.
Targum Jonathan
Because his holiness (piety, chasidutha) is manifest before Me, (and) that he will instruct his sons, and the men of his house after him, to keep the ways that are right before the Lord, to do justice and judgment, that the Lord may bring upon Abraham that which He hath spoken concerning him.
