וַאֲמַרְתֶּ֕ם גַּ֗ם הִנֵּ֛ה עַבְדְּךָ֥ יַעֲקֹ֖ב אַחֲרֵ֑ינוּ כִּֽי־אָמַ֞ר אֲכַפְּרָ֣ה פָנָ֗יו בַּמִּנְחָה֙ הַהֹלֶ֣כֶת לְפָנָ֔י וְאַחֲרֵי־כֵן֙ אֶרְאֶ֣ה פָנָ֔יו אוּלַ֖י יִשָּׂ֥א פָנָֽי׃
Saget ihm: Dein Knecht Jakob kommt auch selbst hinter uns. Denn er dachte: Ich will ihn durch das Geschenk versöhnen, das vor mir hergeht, alsdann will ich sein Angesicht sehen, vielleicht nimmt er mich freundlich auf.
