וְדָנִיֵּאל֙ בְּעָ֣א מִן־מַלְכָּ֔א וּמַנִּ֗י עַ֤ל עֲבִֽידְתָּא֙ דִּ֚י מְדִינַ֣ת בָּבֶ֔ל לְשַׁדְרַ֥ךְ מֵישַׁ֖ךְ וַעֲבֵ֣ד נְג֑וֹ וְדָנִיֵּ֖אל בִּתְרַ֥ע מַלְכָּֽא׃ (פ)
Daniel aber erbat vom Könige, dass er über die Dienstverwaltung der Landschaft Babel den Sadrach, Mesach und Abed-Nego bestellen dürfte. Daniel blieb am Hofe des Königs.
