דִּ֡י יְבַקַּר֩ בִּֽסְפַר־דָּכְרָ֨נַיָּ֜א דִּ֣י אֲבָהָתָ֗ךְ וּ֠תְהַשְׁכַּח בִּסְפַ֣ר דָּכְרָנַיָּא֮ וְתִנְדַּע֒ דִּי֩ קִרְיְתָ֨א דָ֜ךְ קִרְיָ֣א מָֽרָדָ֗א וּֽמְהַנְזְקַ֤ת מַלְכִין֙ וּמְדִנָ֔ן וְאֶשְׁתַּדּוּר֙ עָבְדִ֣ין בְּגַוַּ֔הּ מִן־יוֹמָ֖ת עָלְמָ֑א עַ֨ל־דְּנָ֔ה קִרְיְתָ֥א דָ֖ךְ הָֽחָרְבַֽת׃
Dass man nachsuchen möge im Buche der Denkwürdigkeiten deiner Väter, du wirst im Buche der Denkwürdigkeiten finden und dann erkennen, dass diese Stadt eine aufrührerische Stadt ist, die immer Schaden bereitet hat den Königen und den Ländern; Empörung wurde in ihr gestiftet seit den Tagen der Vorzeit, weswegen diese Stadt zerstört worden ist.
