וְעַתָּ֗ה כִּבְשַׂ֤ר אַחֵ֙ינוּ֙ בְּשָׂרֵ֔נוּ כִּבְנֵיהֶ֖ם בָּנֵ֑ינוּ וְהִנֵּ֣ה אֲנַ֣חְנוּ כֹ֠בְשִׁים אֶת־בָּנֵ֨ינוּ וְאֶת־בְּנֹתֵ֜ינוּ לַעֲבָדִ֗ים וְיֵ֨שׁ מִבְּנֹתֵ֤ינוּ נִכְבָּשׁוֹת֙ וְאֵ֣ין לְאֵ֣ל יָדֵ֔נוּ וּשְׂדֹתֵ֥ינוּ וּכְרָמֵ֖ינוּ לַאֲחֵרִֽים׃

Und nun, unser Leib ist ja wie der unserer Brüder, wie ihre Söhne sind auch unsere Söhne; warum müssen wir unsere Söhne und Töchter zu Sklaven [freiwillig] pressen, oder gar manche von unseren Töchtern werden dazu gepresst und wir können nichts dagegen tun! Warum gehören unsere Felder und Weinberge Fremden?
