Essay zu Wajikra 7:71

The Five Books of Moses, by Everett Fox

The first part of the chapter concerns the eating of three more categories of sacrifice. Vv.16–27 demonstrate the extreme caution regarding lay consumption. The ending (vv.37–38) provides a summary (which mentions a “mandate-offering” not described in this chapter!) and phraseology that usually occurs at the end of a book or major section in the Torah: “which YHWH commanded Moshe at Mount Sinai … in the wilderness of Sinai.”
