כִּי֩ עֲנַ֨ן יְהוָ֤ה עַֽל־הַמִּשְׁכָּן֙ יוֹמָ֔ם וְאֵ֕שׁ תִּהְיֶ֥ה לַ֖יְלָה בּ֑וֹ לְעֵינֵ֥י כָל־בֵּֽית־יִשְׂרָאֵ֖ל בְּכָל־מַסְעֵיהֶֽם׃
Denn die Wolke des Herrn war über der Wohnung des Tages, und eine Feuerflamme war darüber Nachts vor den Augen des ganzen Hauses Israel auf all ihren Zügen. Hastara. 1 Könige 7, 51—8.21.

Another explanation: "But there went up a mist from the earth." The Aramaic translation says, "But there went up a cloud from the earth." (This is the Shechina), of which it is written: "For the cloud of Hashem was upon the tabernacle" (Shemot 40:38). And the students of the Torah on earth will be watered by her at that time.
