וַיֹּ֣אמֶר ל֗וֹ אֱמָר־נָ֣א אֵלֶיהָ֮ הִנֵּ֣ה חָרַ֣דְתְּ ׀ אֵלֵינוּ֮ אֶת־כָּל־הַחֲרָדָ֣ה הַזֹּאת֒ מֶ֚ה לַעֲשׂ֣וֹת לָ֔ךְ הֲיֵ֤שׁ לְדַבֶּר־לָךְ֙ אֶל־הַמֶּ֔לֶךְ א֖וֹ אֶל־שַׂ֣ר הַצָּבָ֑א וַתֹּ֕אמֶר בְּת֥וֹךְ עַמִּ֖י אָנֹכִ֥י יֹשָֽׁבֶת׃
[Elisa] beauftragte [den Diener], sie zu fragen: Du hast dir all diese Unruhe gemacht unsertwegen, was kann man für dich tun? Brauchst du eine Fürsprache bei dem König oder bei dem Heerführer? Sie antwortete: Unter meinen Stammverwandten wohne ich [und erfreue mich ihres Schutzes].

His trials lasted twelve months, for this is the space of time allotted to the “other side”, as, according to tradition, sinners are judged in Gehenna for twelve months. And because Job did not attach himself to the “other side”, “the Lord blessed the latter end of Job more than his beginning” (XLII, 12).
