Der mit Wassern seine Söller bälkt, Wolken macht zu seinem Fahrzeug, der einherzieht auf den Fittichen des Windes.

Rabbi Yochanan said: The angels were created on the second day. It is therefore written (Ps. 104:3), "He sets the rafters of His lofts in the waters, (makes the clouds His chariot, moves on the wings of the wind.)" It is then written (Ps. 104:4), "He makes the winds His messengers, fiery flames His servants." Rabbi Levatas ben Tavrus said: All agree, even Rabbi Yochanan, that the water already existed [on the first day]. But it was on the second day that "He sets the rafters of His lofts in the waters," the one who "makes the clouds his chariot," and the one who "walks on the wings of the wind." But His messengers were not created until the fifth day.
