Midrasch zu Esra 9:14
הֲנָשׁוּב֙ לְהָפֵ֣ר מִצְוֺתֶ֔יךָ וּ֨לְהִתְחַתֵּ֔ן בְּעַמֵּ֥י הַתֹּעֵב֖וֹת הָאֵ֑לֶּה הֲל֤וֹא תֶֽאֱנַף־בָּ֙נוּ֙ עַד־כַּלֵּ֔ה לְאֵ֥ין שְׁאֵרִ֖ית וּפְלֵיטָֽה׃ (פ)
Sollten wir wiederum deine Gebote brechen, und uns verschwägern mit diesen Völkern der Gräuel? Du wirst gewiss über uns zürnen bis zur Vernichtung, dass kein Bleiben wäre und keine Rettung.

23) And in this vein Ezra writes (Ezra 9:14) "Shall we again break Your commandments and make marriages with the people of these abominations? Would You not rage against us until You consumed us, without remnant or escape? (Ezra 9:15) O L–rd, G d of Israel, You are righteous!"
