וָאֶשְׁמַ֞ע אֶת־ק֤וֹל אֲדֹנָי֙ אֹמֵ֔ר אֶת־מִ֥י אֶשְׁלַ֖ח וּמִ֣י יֵֽלֶךְ־לָ֑נוּ וָאֹמַ֖ר הִנְנִ֥י שְׁלָחֵֽנִי׃
Da hörte ich die Stimme des Herrn fragen: Wen soll ich schicken [zu Israel], und wer wird gehen für uns? Ich sprach: Ich bin bereit, schicke mich!
Shenei Luchot HaBerit
We find the same idea in Isaiah 6,8, when G–d asks "whom shall I send, and who will go?" The words "who will go for us" signal that G–d does not want to be associated exclusively with a שליחות לרעה (The subject matter was the wasting of cities, etc.).
