וַיִּ֨חַר לְשָׁא֜וּל מְאֹ֗ד וַיֵּ֤רַע בְּעֵינָיו֙ הַדָּבָ֣ר הַזֶּ֔ה וַיֹּ֗אמֶר נָתְנ֤וּ לְדָוִד֙ רְבָב֔וֹת וְלִ֥י נָתְנ֖וּ הָאֲלָפִ֑ים וְע֥וֹד ל֖וֹ אַ֥ךְ הַמְּלוּכָֽה׃
Dies verdross den Saul sehr, denn diese Rede missfiel ihm und er sprach: Sie haben dem David Myriaden nachgerühmt, mir aber nur Tausende; nun fehlt ihm nur noch das Königtum.
