וַיֹּ֣אמֶר יוֹאָ֗ב יוֹסֵף֩ יְהוָ֨ה עַל־עַמּ֤וֹ ׀ כָּהֵם֙ מֵאָ֣ה פְעָמִ֔ים הֲלֹא֙ אֲדֹנִ֣י הַמֶּ֔לֶךְ כֻּלָּ֥ם לַאדֹנִ֖י לַעֲבָדִ֑ים לָ֣מָּה יְבַקֵּ֥שׁ זֹאת֙ אֲדֹנִ֔י לָ֛מָּה יִהְיֶ֥ה לְאַשְׁמָ֖ה לְיִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃
Und Joab sagte: 'Der Herr macht sein Volk hundertmal so viel mehr wie sie sind; Aber, mein Herr, der König, sind sie nicht alle mein Herr?'s Diener? Warum braucht mein Herr dieses Ding? Warum wird er ein Schuldgrund für Israel sein?'
