וַיִּבְקְעוּ֩ שְׁלֹ֨שֶׁת הַגִּבֹּרִ֜ים בְּמַחֲנֵ֣ה פְלִשְׁתִּ֗ים וַיִּֽשְׁאֲבוּ־מַ֙יִם֙ מִבֹּ֤אר בֵּֽית־לֶ֙חֶם֙ אֲשֶׁ֣ר בַּשַּׁ֔עַר וַיִּשְׂא֖וּ וַיָּבִ֣אוּ אֶל־דָּוִ֑ד וְלֹ֤א אָבָה֙ לִשְׁתּוֹתָ֔ם וַיַּסֵּ֥ךְ אֹתָ֖ם לַֽיהוָֽה׃
Da brachen die drei Helden in das Lager der Philister und schöpften Wasser aus dem Brunnen von Bet Lehem, der am Tore; sie trugen es hin und brachten es dem David, aber er wollte es nicht trinken, und spendete es dem Herrn.
I Chronicles
And the three broke through the camp of the Philistines and drew water from the well of Beth-lechem near the gate. And they carried it and brought it to David. And David did not want to drink it, and he poured it out before the L-rd.
