וַיִּשְׁלַח֩ יָד֨וֹ הַמַּלְאָ֥ךְ ׀ יְרֽוּשָׁלִַם֮ לְשַׁחֲתָהּ֒ וַיִּנָּ֤חֶם יְהוָה֙ אֶל־הָ֣רָעָ֔ה וַ֠יֹּאמֶר לַמַּלְאָ֞ךְ הַמַּשְׁחִ֤ית בָּעָם֙ רַ֔ב עַתָּ֖ה הֶ֣רֶף יָדֶ֑ךָ וּמַלְאַ֤ךְ יְהוָה֙ הָיָ֔ה עִם־גֹּ֖רֶן האורנה [הָאֲרַ֥וְנָה] הַיְבֻסִֽי׃ (ס)
Der Engel [des Verderbens] streckte seine Hand gegen Jerusalem, es zu verderben; da bedachte sich der Herr wegen des Unheils, und er sprach zu dem Engel, der unter dem Volke würgte: Genug! Jetzt lass deine Hand sinken. Der Engel des Herrn war bei der Tenne des Jebusiten Arawna.

And G-d sent an angel to Jerusalem to destroy it. And, as he destroyed, the L-rd saw and He bethought Himself of the evil. And He said to the angel devastating the people: "Enough! Now stay your hand!" And the angel of the L-rd was standing by the threshing floor of Arnan the Yevusite.
