וַיָּ֨שֶׂם דָּוִ֤ד נְצִבִים֙ בַּאֲרַ֣ם דַּמֶּ֔שֶׂק וַתְּהִ֤י אֲרָם֙ לְדָוִ֔ד לַעֲבָדִ֖ים נוֹשְׂאֵ֣י מִנְחָ֑ה וַיֹּ֤שַׁע יְהוָה֙ אֶת־דָּוִ֔ד בְּכֹ֖ל אֲשֶׁ֥ר הָלָֽךְ׃
David bestellte Vögte in Aram Damaskus, und Aram ward dem David untertan und zahlte Tribut. Der Herr half dem David überall, wo er ging.

And David placed tax collectors in Aram-darmesek, and (the men of) Aram were servants for David to bear gifts. And the L-rd helped David in all that he undertook.
