וְעַתָּ֗ה הֲט֥וֹב טוֹב֙ אַתָּ֔ה מִבָּלָ֥ק בֶּן־צִפּ֖וֹר מֶ֣לֶךְ מוֹאָ֑ב הֲר֥וֹב רָב֙ עִם־יִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל אִם־נִלְחֹ֥ם נִלְחַ֖ם בָּֽם׃
Bist du denn besser als Balak Sohn Zippors, König von Moab? Hat er gehadert mit Israel, oder hat er sie angegriffen?
Shut min haShamayim
They responded: "Are you any better than those who came before you?" (cf. Judges 11:25) "And your people, all of them righteous, shall possess the land for all time; they are the shoot that I planted, My handiwork in which I glory." (Isaiah 60:21)
