כִּי־מֵ֥י נֹ֙חַ֙ זֹ֣את לִ֔י אֲשֶׁ֣ר נִשְׁבַּ֗עְתִּי מֵעֲבֹ֥ר מֵי־נֹ֛חַ ע֖וֹד עַל־הָאָ֑רֶץ כֵּ֥ן נִשְׁבַּ֛עְתִּי מִקְּצֹ֥ף עָלַ֖יִךְ וּמִגְּעָר־בָּֽךְ׃
Denn wie die Noaflut ist mir dies da ich geschworen, dass das Wasser Noas [die Sintflut] nie wieder die Erde überschwemme, so habe ich auch geschworen, über dich nie wieder zu zürnen noch dich zu züchtigen.

He told them, if a person stands on top of the Ophel and with his hands102In the Babli: his feet. makes noise in the Kidron brook. But we trust the merciful Father that He will not bring a deluge over the world. What is the reason? This is to Me like the waters of Noe; as I swore not to bring Noe’s waters another time over the earth103Is. 54:9.
