וְחַנָּ֖ה לֹ֣א עָלָ֑תָה כִּֽי־אָמְרָ֣ה לְאִישָׁ֗הּ עַ֣ד יִגָּמֵ֤ל הַנַּ֙עַר֙ וַהֲבִאֹתִ֗יו וְנִרְאָה֙ אֶת־פְּנֵ֣י יְהוָ֔ה וְיָ֥שַׁב שָׁ֖ם עַד־עוֹלָֽם׃
Aber Hanna ging nicht mit, denn sie sprach zu ihrem Manne: [Ich bleib‘ aus] bis der Knabe entwöhnt ist, dann will ich ihn bringen, dass er erscheine vor dem Antlitz des Herrn und dort bleibe für immer.
I Samuel
She made a vow and said, "Adonoy of Hosts, if you look at the suffering of Your maidservant, and You remember me, and do not forget Your maidservant, and give Your maidservant male offspring, then I will give him to Adonoy all the days of his life, and a razor shall never come on his head."
