וְשֵׁ֤ם הָאִישׁ֙ נָבָ֔ל וְשֵׁ֥ם אִשְׁתּ֖וֹ אֲבִגָ֑יִל וְהָאִשָּׁ֤ה טֽוֹבַת־שֶׂ֙כֶל֙ וִ֣יפַת תֹּ֔אַר וְהָאִ֥ישׁ קָשֶׁ֛ה וְרַ֥ע מַעֲלָלִ֖ים וְה֥וּא כלבו [כָלִבִּֽי׃]
Der Mann hieß Nabal und sein Weib Abigail. Das Weib war von guter Einsicht und schön von Gestalt, der Mann aber hart und von böser Art; er war vom Geschlecht Kaleb [also wie David ein Judäer].
