הֵ֗מָּה עֹלִים֙ בְּמַעֲלֵ֣ה הָעִ֔יר וְהֵ֙מָּה֙ מָצְא֣וּ נְעָר֔וֹת יֹצְא֖וֹת לִשְׁאֹ֣ב מָ֑יִם וַיֹּאמְר֣וּ לָהֶ֔ן הֲיֵ֥שׁ בָּזֶ֖ה הָרֹאֶֽה׃
Sie gingen hinauf die Anhöhe zur Stadt; da trafen sie Mädchen, die herauskamen, Wasser zu schöpfen, und sie fragten bei ihnen: Ist hier der Seher?

In former times in Yisroel, this is what someone said when he went to inquire of God, "Let us go to the seer," for "the prophet" of today was formerly called "the seer."
