Ein Bastard soll nicht in die Versammlung des HERRN eintreten; Bis zur zehnten Generation wird keiner von ihm in die Versammlung des Herrn eintreten.
Targum Jonathan on Deuteronomy
He who is born of fornication, or who hath upon him the evil mark which is set upon the unclean Gentiles, is not fit to take an upright wife from the congregation of the people of the Lord; nor unto the tenth generation shall it be fit for him to enter into the congregation of the Lord.
