וְזָ֣כַרְתָּ֔ כִּי־עֶ֥בֶד הָיִ֖יתָ בְּאֶ֣רֶץ מִצְרָ֑יִם עַל־כֵּ֞ן אָנֹכִ֤י מְצַוְּךָ֙ לַעֲשׂ֔וֹת אֶת־הַדָּבָ֖ר הַזֶּֽה׃ (ס)
Und du sollst daran denken, dass du ein Knecht im Lande Ägypten warst; darum befehle ich dir, dieses Ding zu tun.

So remember that you were bondservants in the land of Mizraim; therefore I command you to do this thing.
