וַיִּקְרָ֤א מֶֽלֶךְ־מִצְרַ֙יִם֙ לַֽמְיַלְּדֹ֔ת וַיֹּ֣אמֶר לָהֶ֔ן מַדּ֥וּעַ עֲשִׂיתֶ֖ן הַדָּבָ֣ר הַזֶּ֑ה וַתְּחַיֶּ֖יןָ אֶת־הַיְלָדִֽים׃
Da rief der König von Ägypten die Hebammen und sprach zu ihnen: Warum tut ihr solches und erhaltet die Knaben am Leben?

And the king of Mizraim called the midwives, and said to them, Why have you done this thing, and have saved the children?
