וַיָּמֹ֣דּוּ בָעֹ֔מֶר וְלֹ֤א הֶעְדִּיף֙ הַמַּרְבֶּ֔ה וְהַמַּמְעִ֖יט לֹ֣א הֶחְסִ֑יר אִ֥ישׁ לְפִֽי־אָכְל֖וֹ לָקָֽטוּ׃
Aber als sie nachher mit dem‘ Omer maßen, da hatte nicht mehr, der viel gesammelt, und der nicht weniger, der minder gesammelt; sie hatten gesammelt jeder soviel er essen konnte.
Targum Jonathan on Exodus
but when they measured by the homer, nothing remained above the measure of him who had gathered much; and he who had gathered little, wanted nothing of the measure: every man according to the mouth of his eating, so they gathered.
