וְיִרְכְּס֣וּ אֶת־הַ֠חֹשֶׁן מטבעתו [מִֽטַּבְּעֹתָ֞יו] אֶל־טַבְּעֹ֤ת הָאֵפֹד֙ בִּפְתִ֣יל תְּכֵ֔לֶת לִֽהְי֖וֹת עַל־חֵ֣שֶׁב הָאֵפ֑וֹד וְלֹֽא־יִזַּ֣ח הַחֹ֔שֶׁן מֵעַ֖ל הָאֵפֽוֹד׃
Und man soll anschnüren den Brustschild mit seinen Ringen an die Ringe des Efod durch eine purpurblaue Schnur, dass er bleibe an dem Gürtel des Efod, und der Brustschild sich nicht verrückt von dem Efod.
Targum Jonathan on Exodus
and they shall unite the breastplate with its rings to the rings of the ephod, with twined ribbon, of hyacinth, to be joined upon the girdle of the ephod, that the breastplate may not be removed from the ephod.
