וַיַּעֲשׂוּ־כֵ֨ן הַחַרְטֻמִּ֧ים בְּלָטֵיהֶ֛ם לְהוֹצִ֥יא אֶת־הַכִּנִּ֖ים וְלֹ֣א יָכֹ֑לוּ וַתְּהִי֙ הַכִּנָּ֔ם בָּאָדָ֖ם וּבַבְּהֵמָֽה׃
Die Zeichendeuter versuchten auch, mit ihrem Zauber das Ungeziefer hervorzubringen, aber sie vermochten es nicht. Und das Ungeziefer war an Menschen und an Vieh.
Targum Jonathan on Exodus
And the astrologers wrought with their burnings to bring forth the insects, but were not able; and the plague of insects prevailed upon men and upon cattle.
