Targum zu Bereschit 29:35
וַתַּ֨הַר ע֜וֹד וַתֵּ֣לֶד בֵּ֗ן וַתֹּ֙אמֶר֙ הַפַּ֙עַם֙ אוֹדֶ֣ה אֶת־יְהוָ֔ה עַל־כֵּ֛ן קָרְאָ֥ה שְׁמ֖וֹ יְהוּדָ֑ה וַֽתַּעֲמֹ֖ד מִלֶּֽדֶת׃
Und sie fühlte sich wiederum Mutter und gebar einen Sohn, und sie sprach: Diesmal muss ich dem Ewigen danken. Darum nannte sie ihn Juda (Jehudah); und sie hörte auf zu gebären.
Targum Jonathan on Genesis
And she conceived again, and bare a son, and said, This time will I give praise before the Lord; for from this my son kings shall come forth, and from him shall spring David the king, who shall offer praise before the Lord; therefore she called his name Jehudah. And she ceased to bear.
