וַיִּשְׁאַ֤ל לָהֶם֙ לְשָׁל֔וֹם וַיֹּ֗אמֶר הֲשָׁל֛וֹם אֲבִיכֶ֥ם הַזָּקֵ֖ן אֲשֶׁ֣ר אֲמַרְתֶּ֑ם הַעוֹדֶ֖נּוּ חָֽי׃
Er erkundigte sich nach ihrem Wohlbefinden und fragte: Befindet sich euer Vater wohl, der alte Mann, von dem ihr gesprochen habt? Ist er denn noch am Leben?

And Joseph saluted them, and said, Is it well with your father, the old man of whom you told me? Is he still alive?
