וַיֹּ֤אמֶר יְהוָה֙ אֶל־קַ֔יִן אֵ֖י הֶ֣בֶל אָחִ֑יךָ וַיֹּ֙אמֶר֙ לֹ֣א יָדַ֔עְתִּי הֲשֹׁמֵ֥ר אָחִ֖י אָנֹֽכִי׃
Da sprach der Ewige zu Kain: Wo ist Abel, dein Bruder? Und er antwortete: Ich weiß es nicht. Bin ich der Hüter meines Bruders?

And the Lord said to Kain, Where is Habel thy brother? And he said, I know not; am I the keeper of my brother?
