וַיִּקְרָ֨א אֱלֹהִ֤ים ׀ לַיַּבָּשָׁה֙ אֶ֔רֶץ וּלְמִקְוֵ֥ה הַמַּ֖יִם קָרָ֣א יַמִּ֑ים וַיַּ֥רְא אֱלֹהִ֖ים כִּי־טֽוֹב׃
Und Gott nannte das Trockene Land, und die Sammlung des Wassers nannte er Meere; und Gott sah, dass es gut war.
Targum Jonathan on Genesis
And the Lord called the dry (land) the Earth, and the place of the assemblage of waters called He the Seas; and the Lord saw that it was good.
Tafsir Rasag
So Allah named the dry land "Earth", and the place of the water He named "Seas". Then Allah knew that this [was] good
