כִּ֣י שַׂ֤מְתָּ מֵעִיר֙ לַגָּ֔ל קִרְיָ֥ה בְצוּרָ֖ה לְמַפֵּלָ֑ה אַרְמ֤וֹן זָרִים֙ מֵעִ֔יר לְעוֹלָ֖ם לֹ֥א יִבָּנֶֽה׃
Denn du hast eine Stadt in Steinhaufen verwandelt, die sichere Feste in Trümmer, den Palast der Bösen, dass er keine Stadt mehr sei; ewiglich wird er nicht aufgebaut.
Targum Jonathan on Isaiah
For thou hast made the unfortified cities heaps; the fortified city is a ruin; the idolatrous house of the nations in the city of Jerusalem, shall never be built up again.
