Targum zu Jeschijahu 5:30
וְיִנְהֹ֥ם עָלָ֛יו בַּיּ֥וֹם הַה֖וּא כְּנַהֲמַת־יָ֑ם וְנִבַּ֤ט לָאָ֙רֶץ֙ וְהִנֵּה־חֹ֔שֶׁךְ צַ֣ר וָא֔וֹר חָשַׁ֖ךְ בַּעֲרִיפֶֽיהָ׃ (פ)
Er wird gegen [Israel] toben an jenem Tage wie Meerestoben. Wer auf das Land [Israel] blicken wird, findet da Finsternis der Not, und das Licht verfinstert sich an dem Himmel.
Targum Jonathan on Isaiah
And in that time he shall roar against them like the roaring of the sea: so that if the wicked should seek support from the inhabitants of the earth, he will bring upon them oppression and destruction; but the righteous which shall be in that hour shall be protected on account of the evil.
