שׁוֹחֵ֨ט הַשּׁ֜וֹר מַכֵּה־אִ֗ישׁ זוֹבֵ֤חַ הַשֶּׂה֙ עֹ֣רֵֽף כֶּ֔לֶב מַעֲלֵ֤ה מִנְחָה֙ דַּם־חֲזִ֔יר מַזְכִּ֥יר לְבֹנָ֖ה מְבָ֣רֵֽךְ אָ֑וֶן גַּם־הֵ֗מָּה בָּֽחֲרוּ֙ בְּדַרְכֵיהֶ֔ם וּבְשִׁקּוּצֵיהֶ֖ם נַפְשָׁ֥ם חָפֵֽצָה׃
Da schlachtet mancher einen Ochsen [als Opfer], bald darauf erschlägt er einen Menschen; er opfert ein Schaf, bricht aber auch dem Hund das Genick [vor dem Götzen]; er bringt Speiseopfer dar, — aber auch das Blut des Schweines; er lässt Weihrauch duften, preist aber auch das Ekle [den Götzen]. Wie sie ihre Wege gewählt und an ihren Gräueln Lust fanden. —
Targum Jonathan on Isaiah
He that killeth an ox is as if he slew a man; he that sacrificeth a lamb, as if he cut off a dog's neck; he that offereth an oblation,”as if he offered swine's blood ; the offering of their gifts is the gift of violence. Yea, they delight in their paths, and their soul findeth pleasure in their abominations.
