הִנֵּ֣ה אָנֹכִ֗י וְהַיְלָדִים֙ אֲשֶׁ֣ר נָֽתַן־לִ֣י יְהוָ֔ה לְאֹת֥וֹת וּלְמוֹפְתִ֖ים בְּיִשְׂרָאֵ֑ל מֵעִם֙ יְהוָ֣ה צְבָא֔וֹת הַשֹּׁכֵ֖ן בְּהַ֥ר צִיּֽוֹן׃ (ס)
Ist nicht auch der Mächtige [Efraim] ermattet? Einst machte der Erste [der König von Assyrien, der gegen Israel auszog] es leicht; [er eroberte nur] das Land Sebulon und das Land Naftali; aber der Letzte machte es schwer, [er dehnte seinen Siegeszug aus] zum Meer hin, jenseits des Jordan und den Kreis der Stämme.
Targum Jonathan on Isaiah
Behold, whilst I live with the children, which the Lord has given me, the signs and the wonders, which are promised to come upon Israel shall be established among us. But if they would see and repent, the decree should be annulled, which He decreed against them, that they should go into, captivity, and that they should not appear before the Lord of hosts, whose Shekinah is in the mountain of Zion.
