כְּחֹ֣רֶב בְּצָי֔וֹן שְׁא֥וֹן זָרִ֖ים תַּכְנִ֑יעַ חֹ֚רֶב בְּצֵ֣ל עָ֔ב זְמִ֥יר עָֽרִיצִ֖ים יַעֲנֶֽה׃ (פ)
Wie die Glut in der Steppe, so der Bösen Getümmel. Du aber besiegst die Glut mit Wolkenschatten, der Übermütigen Jubelgesang wird gedämpft.
Targum Jonathan on Isaiah
As the scorching heat in a dry land thou shalt bring low the tumult of the mighty: as the shade of a cooling rock in a parched land, thus peace of mind shall be to the righteous, when the wicked shall be humbled.
