Targum zu Jonah 1:13

וַיַּחְתְּר֣וּ הָאֲנָשִׁ֗ים לְהָשִׁ֛יב אֶל־הַיַּבָּשָׁ֖ה וְלֹ֣א יָכֹ֑לוּ כִּ֣י הַיָּ֔ם הוֹלֵ֥ךְ וְסֹעֵ֖ר עֲלֵיהֶֽם׃

Die Leute mühten sich noch ab, [das Schiff] an das Land zu führen, aber sie vermochten es nicht; denn das Meer stürmte fort und fort um sie.

And the men sailed about to come to dry land, but they could not, because the sea was going and its cyclone was strengthening upon them.
