כִּי־מִי֙ אֲשֶׁ֣ר יבחר [יְחֻבַּ֔ר] אֶ֥ל כָּל־הַחַיִּ֖ים יֵ֣שׁ בִּטָּח֑וֹן כִּֽי־לְכֶ֤לֶב חַי֙ ה֣וּא ט֔וֹב מִן־הָאַרְיֵ֖ה הַמֵּֽת׃
Denn wer noch verbunden ist mit dem Leben, hat Hoffnung, einem lebendigen Hunde ist wohler als einem toten Löwen.

4 For who is the man who adheres to all the words of the Torah to purchase the life of the world to come? He has hoper. For a live dog is better than a lion that is dead.
