וְיָאִ֤יר בֶּן־מְנַשֶּׁה֙ הָלַ֔ךְ וַיִּלְכֹּ֖ד אֶת־חַוֺּתֵיהֶ֑ם וַיִּקְרָ֥א אֶתְהֶ֖ן חַוֺּ֥ת יָאִֽיר׃
Jair Sohn Manasses ging und nahm ein ihre Weiler, und nannte sie Weiler Jairs.
Targum Jonathan on Numbers
And Jair bar Menasheh went and subdued their villages, and called them the villages of Jair.
