Commentary for Amos 2:3

וְהִכְרַתִּ֥י שׁוֹפֵ֖ט מִקִּרְבָּ֑הּ וְכָל־שָׂרֶ֛יהָ אֶהֱר֥וֹג עִמּ֖וֹ אָמַ֥ר יְהוָֽה׃ (פ)

And I will cut off the judge from the midst thereof, And will slay all the princes thereof with him, Saith the LORD.

2:3 And therefore the judges are cut off from inside it that this is regarding the king and officers from that city that were killed in it.
