Commentary for Ezra 8:23

וַנָּצ֛וּמָה וַנְּבַקְשָׁ֥ה מֵאֱלֹהֵ֖ינוּ עַל־זֹ֑את וַיֵּעָתֵ֖ר לָֽנוּ׃

So we fasted and besought our God for this; and He was entreated of us.

and He accepted our prayer for we arrived safely in Jerusalem.
