Commentary for Isaiah 7:5
יַ֗עַן כִּֽי־יָעַ֥ץ עָלֶ֛יךָ אֲרָ֖ם רָעָ֑ה אֶפְרַ֥יִם וּבֶן־רְמַלְיָ֖הוּ לֵאמֹֽר׃
Because Aram hath counselled evil against thee, Ephraim also, and the son of Remaliah, saying:

יען Because. י is perhaps the preformative of the future.5Literally, It will correspond, It will be according to. From this the meaning because is derived.
