Commentary for Jeremiah 25:37
וְנָדַ֖מּוּ נְא֣וֹת הַשָּׁל֑וֹם מִפְּנֵ֖י חֲר֥וֹן אַף־יְהוָֽה׃
And the peaceable folds are brought to silence Because of the fierce anger of the LORD.
Rashi on Jeremiah
shall be destroyed an expression of destruction, an expression related to ‘has silenced us (הֲדִמָּנוּ) .’ ‘and there let us sit in silence (וְנִדְּמָה).’
