Commentary for Jeremiah 50:6

צֹ֤אן אֹֽבְדוֹת֙ היה [הָי֣וּ] עַמִּ֔י רֹעֵיהֶ֣ם הִתְע֔וּם הָרִ֖ים שובבים [שֽׁוֹבְב֑וּם] מֵהַ֤ר אֶל־גִּבְעָה֙ הָלָ֔כוּ שָׁכְח֖וּ רִבְצָֽם׃

My people hath been lost sheep; Their shepherds have caused them to go astray, They have turned them away on the mountains; They have gone from mountain to hill, They have forgotten their resting-place.

mountains...led them astray To the mountains, to the idol worship that was on the mountains. שׁוֹבְבוּם (esvayent in O.F.), led astray, their kings led them astray. And Jonathan rendered: their governors plundered them.
