Commentary for Judges 9:26

וַיָּבֹ֞א גַּ֤עַל בֶּן־עֶ֙בֶד֙ וְאֶחָ֔יו וַיַּעַבְר֖וּ בִּשְׁכֶ֑ם וַיִּבְטְחוּ־ב֖וֹ בַּעֲלֵ֥י שְׁכֶֽם׃

And Gaal the son of Ebed came with his brethren, and went on to Shechem; and the men of Shechem put their trust in him.

Ga'al ben Eved. He was from another nation.
