Commentary for Psalms 44:23

כִּֽי־עָ֭לֶיךָ הֹרַ֣גְנוּ כָל־הַיּ֑וֹם נֶ֝חְשַׁ֗בְנוּ כְּצֹ֣אן טִבְחָֽה׃

Nay, but for Thy sake are we killed all the day; we are accounted as sheep for the slaughter.
